Nigeria forward, Peter Olayinka has been handed a four-match ban by the league disciplinary committee of Czech Republic on Thursday, Nigeriasoccermet.com reports.

The fast-paced attacker turned hero and villain after scoring in Slavia Praha's draw with Liberec last weekend, but was sent off last after he headbutted a Liberec defender.

The club who revealed the action by the disciplinary committee stated it would appeal the ruling.

”The disciplinary committee punished Peter Olayinka with a 4-match suspension for a red card in a match against Liberec. The player will appeal the red card in cooperation with the club,” the club announced on its website.

It is the Nigerian's first red card in the short of Slavia Praha.
