Six years after retiring from professional football, Peter Odemwingie has now turned a pro golfer after completing the PGA course, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Odemwingie graduated from the University of Birmingham to become a full fledged professional in golf.

“I’m proud because I challenged myself not only to apply effort in a sport but also academically,” he says.
The ex Nigeria international had started playing golf while at Westbrom in 2013 through the baggies then Coach, Roy Hodgson.
His wife's encouragement pushed him to grow interest in the sport as he joined Aston Wood Golf Club in Staffordshire before continuity his journey in the sport academically at the University of Birmingham.
Odemwingie who scored 30 Premier League goals for West Brom hopes his story inspires people.
“I hope my story motivates people to follow suit, whether that’s through The PGA or any other form of studies.”
He played in two World Cups and even won an Olympic medal in 2008.
