Nigeria's Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro has voiced confidence in Victor Osimhen's ability to thrive in any of Europe's elite clubs, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Osimhen, currently with Serie A champions Napoli, is anticipated to depart this summer despite a recent contract extension.
The 25-year-old forward has attracted interest from Paris Saint-Germain, reportedly eyed as a potential replacement for Kylian Mbappe, who is speculated to join Real Madrid. Additionally, clubs like Chelsea and Arsenal have been linked with Osimhen.
Peseiro emphasized Osimhen's versatility, remarking, "I think he can play for any team in the world." Speaking to Spanish publication Sport as per Daily Post.
“I’m not going to say one to avoid speculation. He is an animal when it comes to pressing, very good with his head, in the area, and with his eye, which he also associates.
“Of course, he doesn’t associate like other Barça players, but City also looked for associative football and went for Haaland.
“Aren’t City winning? Isn’t Erling scoring goals? Osimhen is a player to play for Barça, Madrid, or another.”
Osimhen's contributions were instrumental in Napoli's recent Scudetto triumph, where he scored 26 goals in 32 league appearances.
Osimhen although, scored just a goal at the just concluded Africa Cup of Nations, but his incomparable resolute display took Nigeria to the final of the continental showpiece.
