Muharraq: Jordan became the first four-time West Asian champions, edging out host nation Bahrain 1-0 to retain the WAFF Women's Championship title they won in 2014, while Lebanon beat Palestine to finish third.
JORDAN 1-0 BAHRAIN
A memorable goal from legendary skipper Stephanie Al Naber sealed Jordan's fourth title, as they bettered the solitary point they needed to secure the title by claiming all three against gallant Bahrain.
Only Al Naber will truly know whether her 67th-minute effort was intended as a cross or shot, but there can no argument about the final result, with the veteran midfielder's effort floating into the top corner of the Bahraini net from fully 25 yards.
It was a goal the hosts, now needing two of their own, were never able to recover from, as their hopes of a maiden West Asian title were extinguished.
Despite their final day defeat, Bahrain can take pride in their second place finish - their best ever in the competition, while Jordan, having won all four of their matches, preserved their status as the region's finest women's national team.
LEBANON 3-0 PALESTINE
While Jordan celebrated another title, Lebanon also had something to cheer about after they finished third with a comprehensive 3-0 win over Palestine.
Hanin Tamim got the party started with the opening goal in the seventh minute - her third of a highly-impressive campaign - before Aya Jurdi doubled the tally eight minutes later.
Lebanon were effectively out of sight when a goal from Samira Awad had them 3-0 up in just the 23rd minute, and so it proved, with the Lady Cedars holding on to equal their best ever finish at the tournament.
