Onuachu doubled the lead one minute into additional time with a close range header to end the first half 2-0 in favour of the hosts.
Taylan Antalyali pulled one back for Samsunspor at the stroke of the second half, but it was too late too late to change the win for Trabzonspor.
Meanwhile, Onuachu who was substituted in the 90th minute have been invited to the Super Eagles team as a replace for injured Sadiq Umar.
Sadiq Umar was injured in the Super Eagles AFCON preparation camping in Abu Dhabi and said to be out for 3 weeks.
