Thembi Kgatlana, a key player for South Africa's Banyana Banyana, is confident that playing in front of their supporters will provide the team with an edge in the upcoming second leg of the 2024 Olympic Games qualifier against Nigeria, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
In the initial leg held at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja, the African champions faced a tough challenge from the Super Falcons, ultimately succumbing to a 1-0 defeat on Friday night.
Desiree Ellis' side now faces the task of overturning the deficit in the second leg to fulfill their ambition of qualifying for the Olympics, having missed out on the opportunity four years ago in Tokyo.

Kgatlana emphasized that despite the setback, there is still ample opportunity for her team to make an impact in the upcoming match.
"The end result will be on Tuesday," Kgatlana affirmed during discussions with reporters following the game. "We will be at home, familiar with the conditions, that will be an advantage."
The return fixture will come up in Tuesday at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria, South Africa.
