The top of the table Clash between Besiktas and Adana Demirspor turned out to be a low scoring game but the host will take the 1-0 win over Vinenzo Montella’s side.
Super Eagles striker Henry Oyenkuru kept in place in the starting line up despite series of changes from Coach Montella which include keeping David Akintola on the bench after the defeat on Christmas Day.
However, it was Besiktas through Aurthur Masuaka that got the lead in the 14th minute. The goal turned out to be the only goal celebration of the match and Besiktas not just secure the win but also reduced the point interval to a point deficit.
Akintola who replaced Oyenkuru got to play less that a quarter of an hour but his introduction could not get Adana Demirspor a goal.
The second straight league defeat keeps Adana Demirspor on 27 points, six behind league leaders Galatasaray.
