Osimhen Set To Face Legal Charges In Lagos Court

SSC Napoli and Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen might be heading to a Lagos based court soon, Nigeriasoccernet can report.

According to reports, Osimhen's brother-in-law (Osita Okolo) who is also his former agent through his Counsel Kayode Adenji has accused the player of owing his client the sum of €528k euros.

Adenji, while speaking live to Calcio Napoli 24 Live' broadcast on CalcioNapoli24 TV (79 Digital Terrestrial) on the situation during the week said: "My client ask that the sum of €1.3m euro agreed with the agent William D'Avila for the transfer of Osimhen to Napoli be recognized, as there was an agreement.

"Okolo must also receive money from Osimhen to whom he paid a sum of $450k dollars at first and another €91k euros to for private reasons. This money was never returned to Osita. From there the legal action against D'Avila and Osimhen started."

"Right now my client wants to have a pact he had with Osimhen recognized for the return of the money. At the time of the transaction from Lille to Napoli there was an agreement that provided for a sum in favor of Osita Okolo. This agreement was not respected.

"We would not like to have a one-on-one confrontation with Victor, we are interested in him staying focused on his stay with Napoli. It is normal that way, should this pre-existing agreement between the parties fail, we will take legal action."

Asked if the issue can be resolved amicably? "I hope so, maybe a meeting between Victor and Osita but at the moment there is no basis for all this.

"We hope that the issue can be closed quickly and without aftermath. Much will depend on Osimhen's position. Osita's role was that of Osimhen's collaborator and legal assistant who asked him to help him. With D'Avila's entry, Okolo was promised a percentage."

Meanwhile, investigations are ongoing in France and Naples due to suspected valuation of Osimhen's transfers from Lille.
