Osimhen scores brace in Napoli's win over Sperzia

In form Nigeria striker, Victor Osimhen was involved three times as Italian Siera A league leaders Napoli defeated Spezia on Sunday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

He scored quick second half brace as Napoli cruised to a 0-3 win away from home at the Stadio Alberto Picco.

Napoli got a penalty as a result of a hand ball at the box 18 which was taken by Kvaratskhelia who scored to give his side the lead just at the start of the second half.

The leading goal scorer in the league scored his first and Napoli's second in the 68th minute as he out jumped Spezia's goalkeeper to head in his 15th goal of the season.

Kvaratskhelia combined with Osimhen in the 74th minute as the former Lille man scored his second and Napoli's third.

The 24-year-old who now has 16 goals and 4 assists in the league, is the 4th player in Napoli history to score at least 16 goals in the first 21 Serie A games of the season, after Luis Vinicio (1955/56), Edinson Cavani (2012/13) and Gonzalo Higuaín (2015/16).

He was substituted for Simeone Giovanni in the 82nd minute.

The win means Napoli temporarily open a 16 point gap at the top of Serie A table with 56 points from 21 games.
