Super Eagles prolific striker, VictorOsimehen was on song his team Napoli's win against Hellas Verona in the Italian Serie A on Monday.
Osimhen scored and assisted to help his side win by five goals to two in their first match of the season.
The 24-year-old scored at the stroke of half time to give Napoli the lead when the score was one all.
A corner was flicked on by Giovanni Di Lorenzo for Osimhen to stick out a long leg at the back post to make the score 2-1.
He assisted the fifth goal for Napoli as his flick laid it off for Matteo Politano to sweep in the ball from 12 yards first-time.
“I’m really happy, it was important to start well. Spalletti trusts me and we are on good terms,” Osimhen told DAZN.
“I am not the kind of player who sets a target for goals. I want to help the team by scoring, the team comes first.
“Kvaratskhelia? Two minutes before the goal, he told me that he expected me to score. We are on good terms, I’ve been here for three years and am helping him settle in. We’ve seen what kind of player he is.”
