Asante Kotoko’s planned friendly match with Romanian club Petrolul has been postponed to October 11.
The international club friendly which was supposed to have been honoured this weekend forms part of activities to mark Kotoko’s 80th anniversary.
Organizers of the game, Pacific Football Ghana Limited have however been forced to reschedule the original date for the friendly match for reasons yet to be officially disclosed.
“We write to inform you that in consultation with the participating clubs, sponsors, and other key stakeholders the Kotoko-Petrolul clash has been rescheduled from 4th September to 11th October 2015,” a statement from the organizers read.
“We are working assiduously towards securing clearance from the Ghana Football Association for the new date (11th October 2015).”
A fixture clash for Petrolul is believed to be responsible for the change in dates for the game.
