Senegal and Southampton star Sadio Mané says he is hopeful to play at the 2015 Africa Nations Cup in Equatorial Guinea.
Present in Casablanca to watch his teammates thrash Guinea on Tuesday and recovering from an injury, Senegal’s attacking midfielder Mané hopes to be able to play at the upcoming continental event.
“Now I am here and I hope to be able to play at the Afcon. I feel good.
"I was a bit sore at the beginning, but now I am ok. Everything goes well and I am happy to be with my teammates,” Mané told “L’Observateur”.
“Personally I am confident. As the coach said, we are going to wait. He will take the best decision.”
Senegal are in Group C along with Ghana, Algeria and South Africa.
