Onyeka, Bassey leave Super Eagles camp as Nigeria prepare to face Mali

As the Super Eagles prepare to face the Eagles of Mali today in their second international friendly game of the March FIFA international break, Nigeria duo of Frank Onyeka and Calvin Bassey have been excused from the 3-times AFCON winners camp, Nigeriasoccernet.com gathered.

After an impressive AFCON 2023 performance that earned him the best tackler of the tournament, Frank Onyeka return to action for Nigeria in Friday's game against Ghana, playing the entire duration as Nigeria defeat the Black Stars 2-1.

The player however won't be available for selection today after he returned to England due to personal reasons.

Meanwhile, Calvin Bassey one of the outstanding players of last AFCON missed Nigeria game against Ghana on Friday due to injury.

Sitting the entire duration on the bench, Calvin Bassey who looks unfit for today's game against the Eagles of Mali have also returned to his club Fulham in England as he continues his recovery processes.

Nigeria will face Mali today at the Stade de Marrakech by 9pm local time.
