The 23-year-old defensive midfielder had been sidelined with an injury sustained during Club Brugge's league match against Standard Liege last month.

Onyedika was omitted from the matchday squad for Club Brugge's win over KAA Gent last weekend, but has now been named in the squad for tonight's UEFA Champions League clash against Aston Villa.

The Round of 16 first leg encounter will take place at the Jan Breydelstadion, and Onyedika's return to fitness will be a welcome relief for Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, ahead of the must-win World Cup qualifiers later this month.
