Paul Onuachu scored the match-winning goal as Trabzonspor secured a 2–1 victory over Gaziantep F.K. in Sunday’s Turkish Super Lig encounter, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Nigerian international has now found the net in six consecutive matches for the Black Sea Storm, continuing his remarkable scoring run.
Gaziantep opened the scoring in the 22nd minute through Mohamed Bayo, but Trabzonspor responded swiftly, with Felipe Augusto levelling the contest just two minutes later. Onuachu then struck in the 27th minute to complete the turnaround and seal maximum points for the visitors.
The goal marked his 35th for Trabzonspor and further underlined his importance to the side. The 31-year-old has now recorded 17 goals in 18 appearances across all competitions this season.
With the victory, Fatih Tekke’s men remain third on the league table with 48 points, strengthening their push for a strong finish in the Turkish top flight.
