US Based Omotola Out Of Provisional Squad For U20

FC Eindhoven Women star Sophia Omotola Omidiji has been omitted from Nigeria’s provisional roster for the 8th FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup.

Manager Peter Dedevbo has invited 30 players to camp ahead of the tournament in in Papua New Guinea, with the Las Vegas-born striker not making the cut.

An analysis of the roster revealed that six girls plying their trade abroad have been called up while twenty four players represent domestic clubs.

Nigeria U20s will open Group B play against Japan at Bava Park, Port Moresby, before tackling Canada and Spain in that order.

All the invited players are to report at the Serob Legacy Hotel, Abuja on Tuesday, 27th September with their training kits, birth certificates and international passports.
