Ogunmodede bolsters Home-Based Eagles squad for Ghana clash

Home-based Eagles coach, Daniel Ogunmodede has strengthened his squad with the addition of five new players ahead of the second leg of their 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifier against Ghana, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The new recruits include Samuel Ayanrinde (Shooting Stars), Sunday Megwo (Abia Warriors), Kazeem Ogunleye (Enugu Rangers), Vincent Temitope (Plateau United), and Badmus Gbadamosi (Kwara United).

These additions bring the squad's strength up to 23 players, after 18 players traveled to Accra for the first leg, which ended in a 0-0 draw against the Black Galaxies.

The team began preparations for the return fixture in Uyo on Tuesday, with the second leg scheduled to take place at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Saturday.
