Kennedy Boboye on the verge of rejoining Akwa United

Kennedy Boboye is set to be reappointed as the new Coach of 2024 /2025Nigeria Premier Football League strugglers, Akwa United after the exit of Mohammed Babaganaru, Nigeriasoccernet.com has gathered.

Speculations about his imminent appointment surfaced after he was present at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium on Monday to witness Akwa United's 2-0 victory over Heartland in the NPFL.

The experienced coach was also spotted at Akwa United training earlier this Tuesday concretizing the news of his reapportionment.

Boboye led the Promise Keepers to their first-ever NPFL title in 2021 but was dismissed the following season after struggling in just twelve games, which consisted of four wins, five draws, and three losses.

Since leaving Uyo in 2022, Boboye briefly coached Heartland and Sunshine Stars.
