Ogunbote commends players doggedness after win against Kano Pillars

Shooting Stars Sports Club Coach, Gbenga Ogunbote has praised his boys for the away win against Kano Pillars in the Nigeria Premier Football League on Monday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Oluyole Warriors came from behind to secure a 2-1 win against the Sai Masu Gida side at the Sani Abacha Stadium in the matchday 29 encounter.

Rabiu Ali had scored earlier for the host, but Taiye Muritala restored parity for 3SC on 48 minute before Christian Pyagbara scored the win on 90 minutes plus.

Ogunbote after the match praised the players for showing commitment in the game despite the challenges encountered before the match.

"I have to give it to the Almighty God and at the same time appreciate the players.We started poorly because fatigue set in on the players.

"We left Ibadan on Saturday and we didn't get here until Sunday night because our vehicle developed fault. So you expect fatigue to set in".

"We just tried to manage the game in the first 45 minutes and in the second half, I think the boys were able to exhibit what they should have done in the first half.

Shooting Stars play joint table toppers, Lobi Stars next in their NPFL matchday 30 fixture.
