Ogbonna Cautious Of Conte's Chelsea

West Ham United’s Nigerian-born defender, Angelo Obinze Ogbonna has admitted that his side will find a tough opponent in Chelsea when they clash this Monday, mostly because The Blues now have a fearsome coach on Antonio Conte.

Ogbonna is aware of Conte’s mettle, having played under the former Italy boss during his days with the Azzurri, and the Italian international is now wary of his compatriot heading into the Super Monday London derby against Super Eagles winger, Victor Moses.

Ahead of the clash at Stamford Bridge, Ogbonna has revealed that he calls Conte ‘The Tailor’ and believes he is cut from the same cloth as Slaven Bilic.

The Italian takes charge of his first match as Chelsea manager against Bilic’s West Ham and Ogbonna is full of praise for the man he trained under at Juventus and with the Italy national team, working with him as recently as Euro 2016.

Furthermore, Ogbonna thinks Conte will help Chelsea return to form and lay a credible challenge for the EPL title, after they finished 10th in the Premier League last season.

He said:

“I call him ‘tailor’ because he arrived at Juventus when they were not playing well and the same with Italy and he can repair them, it is the same with Chelsea,”
