Egyptian giants, Zamalek, have sacked former Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro, NigeriaSoccernet.com reports.
The decision comes after a 2-2 draw with National Bank, which added to the pressure on Peseiro following the team's elimination from the CAF Confederation Cup.
Peseiro, 65, had been in charge since February on a two-year contract, but his tenure was marked by inconsistent results.
Under his leadership, Zamalek won seven, drew eight, and lost two of 17 matches.
The Club on it official X account revealed that the two parties have agreed to end the relationship on mutual consent.
The club currently trails league leaders Pyramids FC by seven points.
