Vancouver Whitecaps confirmed the signing of defender Marcus Godinho on Friday. He signed a deal that will keep him with the team through the conclusion of the 2021 season, with club options for 2023.
Godinho, 24, most recently played for FC Zwickau, a German third-tier team, where he made 31 appearances. He had previously played for Scottish club Hearts. He came up via Toronto FC's youth system.
With the Canadian men's national team, the fullback has made five appearances.
