In a tweet that appeared on the club's Twitter account, Spezia confirmed they have signed Dimitrius Nikolau and Samuel Mraz from Empoli.
Nikolau signed a 5-year deal with the Liguria club, and was one of the pillars of the Empoli defense that conquered promotion from Serie B last season. He arrived at Empoli from Olympiakos in 2018, as one of the young promises of Greek football, given that he made his debut in Champions League while only 19. He's already played with the Greek National team, playing his first match for them in 2018.
Slovak Samuel Mraz is a shifty forward, who signed a three-year deal with Spezia. He made his debut in the Slovakian football league while just 16, and he became one of the youngest leading goalscorers when he netted 19 goals in 2017/2018 at 21 years of age. He arrived at Empoli together with Nikolau and scored in his debut for the azzurri against Genoa.
