Atalanta Bergamo has made a splash in the transfer market. The Italian first division team has announced the signing of Matteo Lovato. The 21-year-old central defender comes from Hellas Verona and is reported to cost eight million euros.
Matteo Lovato is Italy's U21 international. Verona had brought the defender a year and a half ago for one million euros from Calcio Padova. The youngster has appeared in Serie A 25 times so far.
