Vitorino Hilton da Silva, known as Hilton, after as much as ten seasons spent playing for Montpellier HSC, announced having both left his home club and quit playing professional football. 

Turning 44 on September 13, the Brazilian vteran centre-back capped 318 times for La Paillade, scoring ten goals therein, including one who made him the oldest Ligue 1 player ever to net. Playing into European football all last nineteen years long, Hilton used to fend also for Olympique de Marseille, RC Lens, Bastia, Servette, Paraná Clube, and Chapecoense.
