As announced in a tweet on the club's official Twitter account, Ligue 1 side AS Monaco have acquired the services of young German winger Ismail Jakobs.
Jakobs, just 21 years of age, arrives at Monaco from Koln, and won the last Under 21 European Championship with Germany. He signed a contract that will tie him to the Principality's team until 2026. While at Koln, he appeared in 43 games in two years, scoring 3 goals for the club in the process.
The young winger will not be able to join Monaco straight away, as he's been called to represent Germany at the upcoming Tokyo Olympics. After Germany's participation is over, he's expected to join his new club in order to get acclimated to a new system and a new environment.
