Xherdan Shaqiri, Swiss international midfielder, has joined Lyon from Liverpool, the two clubs confirmed on Monday.
Lyon announced the 29-year-old has signed a deal until 2024 for an initial price of €6 million, which could rise to €11 million with bonuses.
The player joined Liverpool in 2018 and has made 63 appearances for the club, winning the Premier League, Champions League, Club World Cup, and UEFA Super Cup in the previous three seasons.
"Everybody at Liverpool FC thanks Xherdan for his contributions over the past three seasons and wishes him the very best for the rest of his career," said a club statement.
