Through their official channels, Celtic have announced that they have signed Japanese striker Kyogo Furuhashi. The striker, age 26, leaves Vissel Kobe, with whom he had scored 15 goals in 21 J-League games last season. He will wear the number eight and, after several years, will pick up the baton from Shunsuke Nakamura, who spent four years of his splendid career in Glasgow.
Speaking exclusively to the official Celtic website, Kyogo, who will hopefully arrive in Scotland at some point this weekend, said: “I am absolutely delighted to be a Celtic player and I can’t wait to join up with the manager and my team-mates and start playing for our great supporters. This move to Scotland and to Celtic is huge for me and I am so excited."
