Fleetwood Town have completed the signing of Nigeria U23 international Godswill Ekpolo on undisclosed terms, the EFL League One side have announced via their official webpage.
The relevant paperwork has been completed for the defender to make his competitive debut for The Fishermen in their Emirates FA Cup clash against Southport at Haig Avenue on Monday night.
Ekpolo was released by Barcelona in the summer of 2016 after spending more than a decade with the Spanish powerhouse.
The right fullback later tried his luck with Wolverhampton Wanderers and Watford in England but was not offered a contract after the trials.
He trained with the Nigerian U23 national team in June but failed to make the Olympic Games roster.
