Ofere Scores His Debut For Dundee United

Edward Ofere scored for Dundee United in the 1-2 loss to Dundee FC on Monday to open his goal account for the club.

The attacker struck in the 54th minute of the Scottish Premiership contest decided at Dens Park.

It was a great team goal which began on the left with Simon Murray playing a clever ball to John Rankin who teed up perfectly for Ofere to slot home from six yards past the Dundee FC goalkeeper, Scott Bain.

Ofere had come close to opening the scoring in the first half but saw his firm header off Paul Paton’s cross well-saved by Bain.

The forward had not scored in his previous nine league games for the club following his arrival from Turkish 1 Lig (second division) club, Boluspor in January.

Ofere has previously played professionally in Italy, Sweden and Denmark.
