Chido Obi-Martin, the 16-year-old striker who recently left Arsenal, is undergoing medical tests with Manchester United ahead of a summer transfer, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
However, the move is subject to a Premier League investigation, which may delay the official announcement.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the deal will undergo a five-step investigation, a standard procedure for Premier League transfers.
Romano stated, "Understand Chido Obi-Martin is undergoing the first part of medical tests as a new Manchester United player today! Announcement could take time as the deal will be subject to PL 5 steps investigation, but all set to be signed."
This development comes after Obi-Martin chose Manchester United as his next destination, turning down other offers.
The investigation will ensure that all aspects of the transfer comply with Premier League regulations before the move is officially confirmed.
