Bayelsa Queens vs Naija Ratels

It was an exhilarating end to the 2022/2023 Nigeria Women's Football League, NWFL Premiership abridged season as Delta Queens ended the regular season without a loss, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The league group A leaders played a one all draw against former champions, Rivers Angels at the Asaba Township Stadium on Wednesday going without a loss with 7 wins and 5 draws.

Damaris Favour had given the hosts the lead in the 17th minute, but Okah Adaobi's 58th minute goal brought the game to equilibrium.

In another group A encounter, Bayelsa Queens triumphed with ease over Abuja's Naija Ratels by three goals to nil at the Samson Siasia Stadium.

Chinyere Igboamalu opened score for the league holders in the 33rd minute before Flourish Sabastine topped the lead in the 41st minute.

Touta Evanick completed the onslaught for the Prosperity Ladies before the end of the first half, a score which remained till the end of the tie.

In group B, Nasarawa Amazons were five goals to the good against Adamawa Queens in their final game at Snake Farm.

Dooshima Tarnum opened score after half an hour before Ayatsea Hembafan doubled the lead 13 minutes later to end the half 2-0.

Tarnum started from where she stopped in the first half after scoring her brace in the 52nd minute as Edeh Loveth and Aweda Titilayo's goals in quick successions (70 and 72 minutes) completed the rout.

It was however not enough to seal a super six ticket for Nasarawa as a 4-0 victory for Robo Queens against Confluence Queens in Lagos meant Robo Queens qualify for the super six tournament with two points ahead.
