The Jewel of Rivers defeated Edo Queens 2-1 on Monday in the Nigeria Women Football League Super Six tournament at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenegao.
After the match, the announcement of 2 million naira cash reward was made to the players and officials who went into a frenzy mood courtesy of the Sport commissioner.
It will be recalled that a similar gesture was extended to the ladies who played out a 1-all draw against host, Bayelsa Queens on matchday 1 of the Super six on Saturday.
Rivers Angels are top on the log with 4 points ahead of their rivals Bayelsa Queens with a better goal difference after 2 matches.
