NWFL Super 6: Edo Queens end Bayelsa Queens unbeaten run, throw title race open

Reigning champions, Edo Queens, are fully back in the race for the 2024/2025 Nigeria Women Football League season after beating Bayelsa Queens on match 4 of the super six, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Edo Queens piped the Prosperity Girls 1-0 courtesy of a goal by Goodness Osigwe at the Remo Stars Stadium.

Osigwe's goal came in the 45th minute of the game to seal the win for the reigning champions, who had started their campaign with a loss.

The win puts the Coach Aduku side back in contention with 7 points same as Bayelsa Queens after four matches played.

Edo Queens play Nasarawa Amazons in their last game, while Bayelsa Queens play Naija Ratels in their last game.
