NWFL: Robo Queens stroll pass Ibom Angels

Robo Queens handed a heavy defeat to Ibom Angels in their match day 12 fixture of the Nigeria Women's Football League on Wednesday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

It was a walk in the pack for the Lagos Landladies ease passed the ladies from Uyo by seven goals to one after 90 minutes at the Legacy pitch, National Stadium, Surulere.

Goals from Maria Oke, Esther Adebayo, a brace from Shukura Oladipo, Rukayat Shobowale, Folashade Ijamilusi and a late minute goal from Opeyemi Ajakaye ensured a fine come back for Robo Queens.

Afensimi Omon had given the visiting team a shocking lead as early as the 11th minute, but Oke restored parity for Emmanuel Osahon's side two minutes later.

Adebayo scored 11 minutes before half time to ensure the comeback and give the Host the cushion as the enter the dressing room for the end of the first half.

10 minutes into the second phase of the game Oladipo increased the lead margin to two, setting tone for a goal fest in Lagos.

Rukayat Shobowale beat two defenders off Folashade Ekun pass to make it four for the ruthless hosts in the 59th minute.

Shobowale got her second of the game scoring a beauty to put the game beyond the visitors, 5-1 it was in the 71st minute.

Four minutes later, the home side were awarded a penalty which was converted by Folashade Ijamilusi.

U-17 Women's World Cup star, Opeyemi Ajakaye completed the massacre in the 90th and 1 minute to hand Robo a 7-1 win and move them to the second spot of the league group B.
