The first stanza of the abridged version of the 2022/2023 Nigeria Women's Football League, NWFL Premiership ended with Delta Queens and Edo Queens finishing top of group A and B respectively.

In group A, Heartland Queens were winners in their game as they put two pass strugglers, Osun Babes at the Dan Anyiam Stadium.

Group leaders, Delta Queens ended reigning champions Bayelsa Queens's unbeaten run after a 2-1 triumph at the Samson Siasia Stadium.
Chinaza Agoh's brace; one at 90 minutes plus additional time gave the home team a bitter pill to swallow.
Agoh scored in the 51th minute of the game before Chinyere Igboamalu restored parity four minutes later but Agoh scored the winner for the away side before the end of the encounter.
