NWFL: Remo Stars Ladies get emphatic win over Ekiti Queens as Adamawa Queens get comeback win against Heartland Queens

Match day 7 results of the Nigeria Women Football League saw newbies, Remo Stars Ladies earn an emphatic win over Ekiti Queens in group A while Adamawa Queens rallied back to beat Heartland Queens on Wednesday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Remo Stars Ladies defeated Ekiti Queens 4-1 at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne while Adamawa Queens beat Heartland Queens 2-1 at the Pantami Stadium.

Hannah Ibrahim opened score for the hosts in the 7th minute before Similoluwa Okeesiji doubled the lead 11 minutes later.

Damilola Adeyanju continued the goal scoring spree in the 76th minute with the third goal for the Sky Blue Stars.

Adelabu Pascaline pulled one back in the 81 minute, but it had no effect on the score line as Adaobi Okah's additional minute goal was the icing on the cake as the score ended 4-1.

At the Pantami Stadium, it was a different ball game as it was the visitors, Heartland Queens who earned a shock lead through Kalu Onyinyechi in the 36th minute.

However, Oluwaseun Alani started the comeback for the hosts as she restored parity from the spot for the home side in the 70th minute.

The comeback was complete at the dead of the game as Mary Moses notched a late goal to give the hosts the win.
