Rivers Angles and Bayelsa Queens clash sets the stage for a mouthwatering match day on Wednesday in the Nigeria Women's Football League, NWFL, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The two teams are the most successful clubs in Nigeria women's football in recent times. And with Bayelsa Queens overthrowing Rivers Angels  to win the league last season, the match is set up for the clash of the titians at  the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Porthacourt.

The two sides are meeting for the second time this season after their clash in the first match of the season saw the reigning champions, Bayelsa Queens defeat Rivers Angels by two goals to nil at the Samson Siasia Stadium.

Previous Meetings have shown that Bayelsa Queens have the edge in the last two matches played last season.

Meanwhile, the two teams have played catch up since the start of the season with Delta Queens topping the league group A log, a position many expected to be occupied by any of the two sides.

For the Prosperity Girls from Bayelsa they 5 points adrift of the first place while the Pride of Rivers are 7 points away from the top. These status the two teams will seek to change as soon as possible.

It obviously promises to go down as a mouthwatering tie garnish with moments of class from the two top teams in the league in the recent times.

Rivers Angels look poised for a revengeful win to keep them within distance of the top three teams to make the super 6.
