NWFL: Nasarawa Amazons end Edo Queens unbeaten run as Bayelsa Queens show supremacy over Rivers Angels

Nasarawa Amazons have ended reigning champions, Edo Queens' unbeaten run to put themselves in good stead to qualify for the Super Six, while Bayelsa Queens stamped their authority at the top of the log as they beat Rivers Angels, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

A late goal from Jenat Akekeromowei gave the Amazons a crucial win over Edo Queens at the Lafia City Stadium.

In Lagos, Dannaz Ladies beat Heartland Queens 1-0 courtesy of an 86th-minute goal from Ulumma Korie, while Confluence Queens edged Ekiti Queens 1-0 in Kogi through Hannah Yusuf's 57th-minute goal.

In group B, Bayelsa Queens edged Rivers Angels 1-0 courtesy of a 3rd minutes goal through Olabiyi Alaba after the hosts lost a penalty that could have increased the margin.

Naija Ratels beat former champions, Delta Queens 2-0 to increase their chance for a top six finish with goals from Sofiat Bankole on 32 minutes and Rita Tsebee on 75 minutes.

Benue Queens and Adamawa Queens share the spoils to play 2-2. Omon Afensimi opened the score in the 12th minute for Adamawa Queens before Joy Ikyagh restored parity for Benue Queens on 68 minutes from the spot.

Josephine Dzer restored the lead for Adamawa Queens on 78 minutes, but Anastasia Emefo equalised on 83 minutes to end the tie at 2-2.
