Already four match days have been witnessed and with match day 5 upon us, it looks delicately poised as strugglers fight to redirect the course of their campaign while top teams, Delta Queens for group A and Edo Queens for group B are in pursuant of continuity to their fine start to the season
Heartland Queens and Confluence Queens who are without a win this season go again on this match day with victories at the back of their minds.
One point in three games after one byes each have left the two sides from Imo and Kogi State bottom of group A and group B in the standings.
On Wednesday, Heartland host ex champions, Rivers Angles and it promises to be an end to end encounter when the two teams clash at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri.
For Confluence Queens, they have their work caught out as they travel to Nasarawa Amazons who are second on the group B log and will be seeking to win to usurp Edo Queens if they slip in their game against Ibom Angels.
With reigning champions, Bayelsa Queens and 2021 champions Rivers United still trying to get to their groove, these teams especially Delta Queens who share same group with them know they can't afford to take their legs off the gas at the moment.
They play Naija Ratels who are third with six points at the Ogwuashi Stadium and they will be seeking nothing but victory at their home ground to consolidate their unbeaten run.
The clash will see two players who share the highest goal scorer spot in Agama Ziperekefeghe of Naija Ratels and Mercy Omokwo of Delta Queens.
In Uyo, Ibom Angels who have just a win will seek to spoil the party for Edo Queens who are on rollercoaster ride in three matches at the Ibom Stadium State.
The clash is a tale of contrasting fortunes with the Orange girls recording three loses and a win while the Queens from Benin have been one of the best teams in the league so far after their match day 1 loss.
Edo Queens with nine points go to win in the game, but must be wary of an Ibom side with two points away from the bottom.
