As we come to the end of the first stanza of the NWFL abridged league this Wednesday, resilient Edo Queens FC is determined to maintain a top spot as the campaign for the prestigious Super Six ticket gets underway. The Benin city based girls have their eyes fixed on three away points in Yenagoa, having played a lot of games, they wouldn't want to leave anything to chance, knowing that the host team is among the NWFL heavyweights in the country.

You will recall that Edo Queens Football Club of Benin fought gallantly to secure 1-0 win over Bayelsa Queens Football Club of Yenagoa in the finals of the third edition of Betsy Obaseki Women Football Tournament BOWFT, played last year October in Benin-City.
