NWFL: Bayelsa, Confluence, Edo Queens, Rivers Angels all progress to super 6 as Osun Babes get relegated

Four more teams have joined Delta Queens in securing places in the super six tournament of the Nigeria Women's Football League, NWFL Premiership, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Reigning champions, Bayelsa Queens, 2021 champions, Rivers Angels, Confluence Queens and Edo Queens all progressed to the deciding tournament after wins in the match day 13 matches.

Bayelsa United compounded the woes of Osun Babes, sending them to relegation after they won by a goal to nil courtesy of a first half goal by Zainab Olapade.

Another group A team, Rivers Angels also jumped on bandwagon to complete the three teams to make it from the group after their 1-0 win against Heartland Queens. The goal was scored by Okwuchukwu Chiamaka.

In group B, Confluence Queens' goalless draw with Nasarawa Amazons at the Lokoja Stadium was enough to give Confluence Queens the qualification spot.

While Edo Queens with an emphatic 4-0 win over Ibom Angels to include their names amongst the teams that have made it to the super six.

Goals from Godwin Eunice, an own goal by Friday Esther, Abideen Suliat and Fajobi Yetunde gave the comfortable win to Edo Queens.

Group B have a slot left  for the three teams  compete the three teams that will make it to super six from the group.
