The topflight first fixture clash between the premier leaguers on Wednesday, January 10 at the Pantami Stadium in Gombe ended 2-1 in favour of the hosts, Adamawa Queens, Nigeriasoccernet.com gathered.

Williams vowed that her side will surely cash in on the rare opportunity of the reverse fixture to even scores with the wayfarers from Yola.

"It's our turn this time around to avenge the tearful defeat we suffered in the hands of Adamawa Queens in Gombe".

"Though we fought hard and lost the game 1-2 but we were not outplayed on that occasion".

"We have been working tirelessly on our shortcomings aimed at making the necessary corrections while we wait anxiously for the reverse fixture clash".

"We have been able to put our acts right and perfected the match plans as reeled out by our coaches".

"We were beaten 2-1 but come on Wednesday we are not just going to beat them but we will double the scoreline, we are going for a goal feast," said the soft-spoken but hard-as-nail shell defender.

The former Delta Queens strongwoman said her side's backline is promising a watertight defence in the 'Operation Adamawa Queens must fall' encounter.

"We are going to put in our very best, we are going out in full force to ensure we cover our areas very well, there will not be any margin of error in the defence, we will make it a no-go-area for the visitors".

"This will be our own little and minimal contribution towards our dreamed victory in the league clash," said Williams.

The no nonsense all-rounder in defence said she will like to be remembered as one of the players that qualified the Owerri mainstreams for the first time ever NWFL Premiership Super Six.

"I will like to be remembered even after several years as one of the players that took Heartland Queens to the Super Six. And to crown the sweet remembrance to have gone ahead to win the league title and more," said Williams who joined the Owerri side in the ongoing league season.

Heartland Queens are atop of the eight-team Group A log on 11 points same as challengers, Dannaz Ladies, Nasarawa Amazons and Confluence Queens on superior goals.
