Chippa United's assistant coach, Thabo September, has revealed that Stanley Nwabali may remain at the club beyond the current summer transfer window, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Despite being linked to several clubs in South Africa, Saudi Arabia, and Europe, Nwabali has returned to Chippa United without any concrete offers.
September emphasized that the Nigerian goalkeeper will stay with the club if no suitable offer is made to secure his services.
Nwabali has been a crucial player for Chippa United, making 26 appearances and securing eleven clean sheets last season.
His impressive performances have attracted interest from various clubs, but September's statement suggests that Nwabali's future at Chippa United is uncertain.
We all want Stanley to go to the next level, forward to the bigger things. That’s why he plays so good, so that he can get a bigger move. From the management, the chairman, and us as coaches and players, we want that to happen, but at the moment, he’s here with us, and he’s a professional,” September told FARPost via Daily Post.
“He’s working for that moment, and when that moment happen. He’s a professional and is training well, and if that doesn’t happen, he’s looking forward to playing in the PSL for Chippa United, but me as a coach I don’t know if there’s anything on the table.”
