Remo Stars gave their Super Six qualification chase a huge boost after coming back from a goal down to beat Plateau United in Jos in their match day 17 encounter on Sunday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Sky Blue Stars defeated the Tin Boys from Jos by two goals to one at the New Jos Stadium putting their hope for Super Six in the hands.

After a cagey and barren first half, the second half started with the host continued with the edge it had had in the first 45 minutes.

And it soon yielded result after Zeidu Salisu broke the deadlock in the 71st minute with an absolute rocket that beat goalkeeper Bankole.

Remo Stars Coach Daniel Ogunmodede brought in Ekundayo Ojo for Qudus Akanni and Philip Odubia for Seth Mayi as sought an equalizer in the 75th minute.

However, it was not until another substitute, Adams Olamilekan for Seun Odunsi that the goal came.

Olamilekan made instant impact as he benefited from a mix up in the host backline to give the visitors the equalizer in the 81 minute.

Seven minutes later, Olalekan Adedayo scored a screamer for the Ikenne based club to a quick turn around of event at the stadium.

It ended 1-2 in favour of Remo Stars, a result which means Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu and his boys have now lost at home for the first time this season and have no place in the Super Six tournament.
