Gombe United Coach, Bashir Saleh has expressed satisfaction following his sides' 1-1 draw against Nasarawa United at the New Jos Stadium on Saturday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Gombe United got the vital point away from home after Usman Abbas' cross was turned in by goalkeeper Mohammed Galadima in the 71st minute, but parity was restored for the Host by Ayuba Francis in the 85th minute.
Saleh stated after the match that even though the game didn't go as he would have wanted it to be, he is ok with the result.
"We are happy for today's result, even though we were hoping for an outright win.
"During the break, we had some encouraging pep talks with the players which had a huge impact on how we performed in the reverse half.
He spoke on the team's desire to get maximum points in subsequent away matches.
"Going forward, we are determined to pick maximum points on the road against Shooting Stars in Ibadan in our next game."
Gombe United will be traveling to Ibadan for their next match against Shooting Stars Sports Club.
