NPFL Youth League: Chikelue Ileonyosi advocates for league's sustainability, maximum support
General Chikelue Ileonyosi, the chairman of the Anambra State Football Association (ASFA) has praised the board members and chairman Emeka Inyama who are in charge of the Under 17 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
According to the former player for the Super Eagles of Nigeria, this is the ideal way to find, identify, and assemble young talents for elite teams as gathered by Nigeriasoccernet.com.
"By doing this, parents may feel secure in the knowledge that their children will pursue soccer as a vocation and that it will be their responsibility to find players for the first team".
Following the signing of an Under 17 player into the U17 NPFL, the Chairman of the U17 NPFL praised Bar. Amobi Ezeaku, General Manager of Enugu Rangers for his understanding of the economic side of soccer.
"To recognize and sign a very young talent to a professional club side requires more than just being a sports administrator", he added.
Meanwhile, Sporting Lagos and Sunshine Stars earned wins in their respective match against Remo Stars and Shooting Stars Sports Club in the ongoing Nigeria Premier Football League youth league qualifiers on Friday with goals from Ochigbo Edward and Seun Akanji giving the Tech Boys the win over the Sky Blue Stars at the Ekiti Centre.
