Wikki Tourist Coach, Abdullahi Adamu has stated that his team will beat their opponents come Sunday, the 15th when they file out for the match day 1 game of the 2022/2023 Nigeria Premier League season.

The team from Bauchi will play host to Niger Tornadoes in one of the group B fixture at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Bauchi.

Adamu sounded upbeat ahead of the Northern derby clash stating that with the warm up matches and the crop of players in his rank, the fans should expect a good show from the side this season.

“The calibre of players I have in the team is good. A very fantastic set of players. Very good players,” the coach said

Adamu pointed out that the result of their friendly with Plateau United on Sunday at the new Jos stadium was a reflection of what should be expected in the new season.

“The team’s 0-0 draw with Plateau United was good, even though it was not the result we planned for. But we are happy with it.

“What we planned was to come and win, but it’s still not bad and it has given us an insight into what our supporters should expect in the coming season,” he said.
