Abia Warriors head coach Abdullahi Biffo believed the victory over Nasarawa United brought back the winning mentality to the squad.
Now in their third season in the NPFL in a row, Abia Warriors have had to face reality to beat the drop after a bright start this term.
Biffo’s side moved three steps out of the relegation zone after a convincing 3-1 win over neighbours Enyimba on Wednesday.
“I think the win against Nassarawa United was the turning point for Abia Warriors, it has brought back the winning mentality to the team,” Biffo told Goal.
“It has also brought back the confidence in the team.
“With the way the boys are playing now I see us getting either four or six points in our last two matches this season.”
The former Niger Tornadoes coach has now asked the fans to show more support for the team.
“My massage to our fans is to continue to give their support as a huge contribution as we return the team to winning ways.
“We have gone foir games without a loss and now we are targeting to end the league on high note and that will sum up to six games without a loss,” he added.
