Shooting Stars Chairman Gbolagade Busari has assured fans of the Ibadan Premier League club that the team will bounce back to winning ways.
Out of the five league matches played so far, 3SC have lost three, won one at home and drew the other home match to occupy the 19th position in the table.
3SC lost 2-0 to Ilorin side ABS in their fixture on Sunday, after being held to a 1-1 draw by MFM. They were beaten 2-1 by Kano Pillars and 1-0 by Sunshine Stars.
Busari, who is not happy with the defeat, vowed the team would be firing on all cylinders for better results and live up to the expectations of the fans.
He said, “We are not happy with the position of our darling team. The results we got in recent matches have not justified our efforts to reposition the team. However, all hope is not lost as we are ready to get good results.”
Busari said the management had identified the problems of the team, stressing their mistakes would be corrected.
He said, “We have a mandate from Governor Abiola Ajimobi and we will not disappoint the trust he has in us. The governor said the team should reclaim their lost glory and compete as a premier team they used to be.
“This mandate is our motivation and it will drive us to success. We want to appeal to our fans not to lose hope in us, they should believe in us and we will make them and the state proud at the end of the season.”
